The 18K gold won’t change color in itself, there is a plating on the outward of jewelry, due to some behaviors in life, the plating falls off, revealing the original color of the 18k gold. 18K means the kind of jewelry that contains 75% pure gold, with 25% other noble metal.
The color of the metal depends on the respective percentages of 25% other metal. Generally speaking, it takes on soft white yellow color, for the beauty and endurance of the jewelry; we usually anodize plating on the outward of the jewelry. The bright white surface we see is actually the plating.
Some behaviors in our daily life will cause the wear and tear of the plating, such as doing housework, taking a bath, making-up etc, or rubbing with other objects. After falling off of the plating, the metal will reveal its original color, taking on light white yellow color, it is a normal phenomenon. The content of the jewelry should have no problem after the testing of quality inspection centre.
