The Kon-I-Noor weighs 108.97 carats, colorless, oval carving shape, originating in Golconda of India, ranking 33 among the world’s famous diamonds. The original stone of Kon-I-Noor was said to be 800 carats, after the first cutting by jeweler, it became the large diamond, weighing 191 carats, later it was re-carved to the one, eighing 108.97 carats. The large diamond was originally owned by Indian Mughal emperor, being carried off by Persian Nadi Er emperor in 1739. Nadi Er was assassinated in 1747,the aristocrat Adelsber seized the chance and carried off the diamond. Over a hundred years later, in the Punjab war that Britain conquered India, the British governor captured the diamond and dedicated to British Queen Victoria. Finally, the Kon-I-Noor was embedded into the crown of British King permanently.
